Homemade Slammin’ Slaw

  • Prep time: 15 minutes

  • Chill time: 1 hour (minimum)

  • Yield: 8–10 servings

Ingredients

The Slaw Mix

  • 1 medium head Green cabbage, finely shredded (about 6 cups)

  • 1 cup Red cabbage, shredded (for that beautiful pop of color seen in GENERRATE_IMAGE_NEW_202606280146.jpeg)

  • 1 large Carrot, julienned or coarsely grated

  • ½ cup Green bell pepper or celery, finely diced (optional, for extra crunch)

The Dressing

  • 1 cup Mayonnaise (use a high-quality brand for the best flavor)

  • 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar (or white vinegar)

  • 2 tbsp Granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • ½ tsp Celery salt

  • ¼ tsp Freshly cracked black pepper

  • A pinch of salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Vegetables: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded green cabbage, red cabbage, grated carrot, and diced green pepper or celery. Toss well to distribute the colors evenly.

  2. Whisk the Dressing: In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, Dijon mustard, celery salt, and black pepper until the dressing is completely smooth and the sugar has dissolved.

  3. Combine: Pour the creamy dressing over the cabbage mixture. Use a large spoon or tongs to toss everything together until every shred of cabbage is beautifully and evenly coated.

  5. Serve: Give it one final toss right before serving. If you are hosting a gathering or a backyard BBQ, transfer it to a large serving tray or foil pan with a large serving spoon, just
